Most major ski or snowboard come with a unique serial number, either printed or stamped by the manufacturer. This is  the number you’ll register along with:

• A photo of the item clearly showing the serial

• A certification that it’s not stolen or missing

• Optional: Upload a receipt or proof of purchase

Once your gear is registered, you’ll be able to:

• Mark it as sold when reselling

• Flag it as lost/missing/stolen with location and date details

• Upload a police report if applicable

We offer optional registry stickers to our members at a small cost to visibly display on your gear — a proven deterrent to theft.

Anyone — from buyers on eBay to ski shop employees — can run a free serial number check to verify whether a ski or board is flagged as missing or stolen.

We encourage:

• Ski resorts & local police to use the registry for found items

• Pawn shops and second-hand stores to validate items before resale

• Parents and renters to use it for misplaced gear

If your lost, missing or stolen item is found and flagged, the finder will be able to contact you through the platform. We recommend meeting at a local law enforcement office  public meeting place, or arranging shipping with tracking for retrieval.
